Shady Strands Mk2 FLAT MAP
I’ve completely rebuilt the Shady Strands map.
The entire 25-tile area has been flattened and smoothed, with no undulation at all, making it perfect for a sprawling metropolis.
The edges of the map contain some mountainous regions to give it some nice scenery, but the important part is almost uniformly flat.
I’ve also rebuilt the highway network to flow more realistically. The interchanges were inspired by German roads.
I deleted that God-awful railroad layout and added a generic track throughout the map with 4 connections. Nothing fancy in the railroads because I assume any city builder worth their salt willl be building their own from scratch anyway.
Ship and air connections included.
I’ve tried really hard to stay away from mods, but the only one I know you WILL need is the no pillars mod because the central interchange was impossible without it. Other than that, you should be good to go!
For people starting without the unlimted money and unlock all mods, the starting tile is pretty tricky as it is right in the corner and fairly limited, so it should be a decent challenge.
