Aarenfels
After a long while working on this city I thought I’d share it with the community.
This is a huge city settled in the european themed big river map. Sadly, it is not 100 percent finished, but you will find some interesting features.
I added three different collections ( http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198106911774/myworkshopfiles/?section=collections&appid=255710 ) to the workshop, of which are two necessary. The third one is highly recommended.
I tried to create a realistic road layout ( http://imgur.com/nR56UvY ) , with both, a naturally grown city look and a planned layout. In the outer areas of the city, the urban city look blends into a rural area filled with fields, churches and low density housing. In this city you can find:
Airport: A huge (working) international airport with three runways, two airport buildings, a large bus terminal, a train station, some parking lots, a mall and some activities for long waiting periods.
Harbour: A harbour, with eleven docks, some with, some without train connection. Industry is settled along this harbour. Large container yards can also be found. The harbour is connected to the city with rails, highway and a sixlane road.
Golf Club: A golf court for the upper class with 16 (I’m not sure about this) holes. A botanic garden right beside it and a minigolf court will give the kids what they need. The golf court isn’t finished at all. Needs some work on the decoration.
Football (Soccer) Arena: The large football arena can be found on a hill right next to the airport. From the many (and i mean many) parking lots, you can go straight to the arena. Or you can come by train or bus.
Parliament: The parliament is built on a hill with an admirable view on the older parts of the city. The beatiful garden is the horror for every gardener. On the bottom of the hill are some parking possibilities.
Minesite: The excavation process of this minesite is just beginning. A big Excavator is still digging for the best ores.
Banking district: The banking district is an attraction you can’t miss. With its tall highrises and expensive hotels, it is a place every tourist needs to visit.
Observatory: The observatory features two telescopes and the unique space elevator. In addition, the planetarium gives the space interested tourist what he needs.
Remember that this is a large city with nearly the maximum of buildings and it may take a while for you to load the save game.
