Description:

Here’s my first proper service interchange in my collection, the A-4 Parclo! Now, as a road geek, it pains me to tell you that I actually had to look up the meaning of "A-4". As far as I’ve understood it, the A means that the ramps are located before the driver passes under the overpass, and the 4 designates how many quadrants are included. The A-4 Parclo is among the most efficient service interchanges you can build, since most left-hand turns are eliminated. In real life, one of the ramps will meet a traffic light, but since the use of one-way roads is required to make sure traffic flows like it should, there are no traffic lights in the in-game version. Interestingly, it’s considered so effective that some countries are rebuilding their free-flowing cloverleafs into parclos, to improve road safety.

Advantages:
+ Traffic entering the motorway leftbound only has to drive through a single junction, traffic entering rightbound is completely free-flowing
+ No traffic lights
+ Can easily be upgraded into a cloverleaf or cloverstack

Disadvantages:
– One of the largest service interchanges around

In-game description: The A-4 Parclo is as close as you’ll get to a free-flowing service interchange, no weaving included!
