The Landesarchiv NRW in Duisburg serves to storage and preserve documents of the last 1200 years from the Rhineland. At the Duisburg site, the current stands are around 100 kilometers in length of the storage rack.
The building consists of the corrugated office complex and a former grain silo which has been converted into a windowless archive. In the former Silo a 76m high tower was added to increase the archiving area.
