Description:

Starting a new city can be quite difficult. Yeah sure, there’s mods and the like to make it all easier, but some of us kind of like to take things one little step at a time. So I introduce you to the way JazzAge cities have been getting power when there isn’t any oil or uranium to be found… Good old fashioned (and dirty) coal!

However, this isn’t just any old coal power plant. No kid, this is a modular kit. Layout the structure as you see fit for your city! Sure, it’s pretty small for a power plant, but burning carbon rocks isn’t a fancy science… Which not only means it saves space, it saves money too!

But don’t think that it comes without a cost… Did I mention that it stinks and will cover everything you love in soot?

General Stats for all four buildings:

=== Office ===
Acts as your "central unit" in which you build the other facilities off of it.

Placement Cost: $1000
Maintenance Cost: $100
Uneducated Workers: 24
Educated Workers: 12
Well Educated Workers: 6
Highly Educated Workers: 0

*Note: While it generates around 2MW of energy and produces very little pollution, nobody’s gonna want to live next door to it.

=== Dirty Coal Generator ===
The bread and butter of your coal plant. It produces about 58 MW of power and is pretty small, but the sucker belches more toxic smoke than anything else.

Placement Cost: $8000
Maintenance Cost: $1000
Uneducated Workers: 16
Educated Workers: 8
Well Educated Workers: 0
Highly Educated Workers: 0

Resource Capacity: 10,000
Resource Consumption: 50

=== "Clean" Coal Generator ===
Producing the same amount of power as the dirty generator, the "clean" coal generator uses scrubbing technology to help cut down on carbon emissions. Still, it’s a nasty polluter in comparison to many alternatives. This is coal after all.

Placement Cost: $20,000
Maintenance Cost: $4000
Uneducated Workers: 24
Educated Workers: 16
Well Educated Workers: 8
Highly Educated Workers: 2

Resource Capacity: 10,000
Resource Consumption: 50

=== Storage ===
It’s intended to store up a large supply of coal that would, in theory, get shipped to the other facilities in order to use over time. Instead, it acts more like a slow burner of coal reserves.

Placement Cost: $10,000
Maintenance Cost: $1000
Uneducated Workers: 32
Educated Workers: 8
Well Educated Workers: 0
Highly Educated Workers: 0

=== Pollution Statistics ===
For those you wanting to figure out just how much of a difference between the clean and dirty coal generators are, here is their pollution values.

Pollution Type – Accumulation/Radius

Dirty Generator

Noise – 50/80
General – 60/80

Clean Generator

Noise – 20/40
General – 25/60
