Description:

North Dallas area, centralized at Carrollton, Tx

I attempted to recreate a map of the North Texas area, North of Dallas, near my current city of Carrolton, so I choose to start the map as such.

The North most lake is considered Lewisville Lake, the West most Grapevine Lake, and the central river Trinity River (to an extent.) The remaining aspects of the map, including extra lakes and rivers, resource placement, and overall heightmap is, more or less, for aesthetic and gameplay reasons, while still trying to be authentic.

This is a very rough build, my first and only attempt at building a map, so in the case it needs to be, I’ll probably be editing and balancing as needed. So any feedback/suggestions can be left in the comments and, more than likely, will be addressed in other versions.

Features:
Two main Highways: I-35E and 121 (resembling)
Two Railways: TRE and DART/DCTA Lines (resembling)
Four Airline routes: NE, NW, W, and E
Moderate forests
Significant Oil and Ore fields
Flat Agricultural areas
Plentiful water flow for majority of the plot

For those who want a little taste of what you might see in the future, I did render a few other cities, which I will link below:

Rio de Janiero : http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=406957433

This is a wonderfully rendered map, complete with an amazing looking central highway bridge, resembling the same crossing the bay in Brazil. This is, as of this moment, the most pristine map I’ve generated, however it has it’s downsides; The buildable land in the map states only ~45%, primarily due to the large mountain range nearby. However it is very resourceful and has a very beautiful bay that can’t really be denied!

London : http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=406968097

Another amazing looking render, but with a larger emphasis on land coverage, instead of water. The central river is flowing, and capable of cargo shipping, and is complete with a tri-directional railway system and a quad-directional highway system, both resembling reality! While the water table is sparce, the buildable land skyrockets up to ~80%, giving you plenty of room to build the london you wish to see!
