Description:

Generic LRT (Light Rail Transit) Station, based on the stations of the Punggol LRT Line. The only people mover island platform station yet!

IMPORTANT: Read instructions before using this asset

1. Fine Road Anarchy (Or any road anarchy mod of your choice) is required.

2. This is designed to be placed on top of the 4 lane avenue (trees, grass, normal versions are fine, tram versions is not).

3. For terminal stations, you are highly advised to still add a bit of metro tracks at the other end even if it is irrelevant to your metro system (because if you don’t, the station tracks will shift and the trains will be misaligned)

4. This is designed for my Singapore LRT C810 (Crystal Mover) assets, and it is designed to fit at most the 2-car version (link to 1-Car and 2-Car versions). The platform is only 27.5m long, so any trains less than 25m should be fine (my Crystal Mover asset is around 21 metres)

Future Plans

This asset tested a few waters that I have not tried before, namely making a metro station, using of submeshes, using of the transparent glass script, making use of an overhead bridge, using of submesh to reduce tris count and making it easier to texture (at the cost of increasing asset size), and figuring out the dimensions of the M.O.M. island platform.

What this mean is that I am now confident to proceed to the future plans of making 2 different Singapore MRT stations. One being Punggol, which relies heavily on glass and requiring submeshes based on my plans. The other is an EWL station, which will most likely require use of submesh to reduce tris count.

Other words

Sorry to the Malay folks, there is no Malay translation of name "Light Rail Transit Station" in the station signage as almost all Malay station names follow that of its English version, and only the Latin alphabet, Chinese script, and Tamil script are available IRL. The name "Light Rail Transit Station" is not intended to be a description, but as a generic name like "Punggol" or "Choa Chu Kang".

Sorry to the Tamil folks also, as I do not speak Tamil and the Tamil translation is google translated. It might not mean what I wanted it to mean, since google translate don’t often work well. It is used to assist in realism (having signage in Latin alphabet to represent English and Malay, Chinese script for Chinese, and Tamil script for Tamil)
