Lake Merritt Tower
This is based on Lake Merritt Plaza, one of the tallest buildings in Oakland, California. Lake Merritt is perhaps most famous for being the site of the infamous BBQ Becky incident, in which a fragile white woman attempted to have some Black park-goers arrested simply for having a barbecue on a sunny day. This tower, featured in the background of the video, is a 27-story office building in the modernist style, with glossy pink granite curtain wails. With a curvy front face and a tiered back face, Lake Merritt Tower is ready for both business and pleasure.
