REQUIRES MASS TRANSIT

——————————————-

MODS AND TREES

– Unlimited Trees – you must have this mod or else a lot of your trees will be missing.
– High Performance Requirements – There are just over 1 million trees in this map.

If you really want to play this map but have a computer that only reaches the max recommended specs, see below for solution.

——————————————-

MAP FEATURES

4x Highway
4x Air
4x Rail
2x Shipping
Oil offshore (it is Norway, after all)

We shared a lot of the work, but generally the project was:
Highways, ski areas, trees and rail: funchenstein (his tree placement is just wow!)
Terrain and rivers: Mr Miyagi

OVERLAY

I used an overlay to make this true to life map. You can use the same overlay I used – download it from here https://www.dropbox.com/s/scp64ezho5ibx3s/overlay.png?dl=0

Then, use overlay with the Overlayer v2 Mod: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=662933818
Your overlay image is placed here: C:Program Files (x86)SteamSteamAppscommonCities_SkylinesFiles. It has to be named overlay.png. If you already have an overlay in there, move your current overlay in a separate folder.

Many thanks to Mr Maison, pdelmo and Lost Gecko for the beautiful trees, Khanador for Not So Rocky Hills map theme, princekolt for the Overlayer v2 mod, AmiPolizeiFunk for teaching us how to make maps true 1:1 scale and find higher quality overlays, and DRen72 for the Unlimited Trees mod!

You can play this map with a computer which is a little bit above the recommended (high) specs for the game by doing this. Open Oslo in map editor, use a tree brush on a very low setting (around .04 or so). make a brief right click over a forest area. You will see it reduces the density of the forests. Reduce the tree count until it has 200,000 trees max. Save the map with a different name in both places on the save pop up window. Have your workshop subscriptions very low. Use Loading Screen Mod to monitor the performance of your computer.
