Moraine Farmlands theme
Heya and welcome to Moraine Farmlands theme.
This is a boreal theme and is made with a thought of nordic landscapes style.
Sand is made as pebble stones , and its a pretty high scaling on those to show up as smaller stones , the negative effect when scaling is so high is that the texture creates a pattern if you put it on huge areas, so spread it out soft and use a very soft brush.
Why the sand , well sand and cliffs are those textures in the game wich can use normal maps or some will call them bump maps.
To get those stones to look nice, I need a bump map for them , so thats why I use sand instead of oil or ore , those texture slots cannot use bump maps.
So a bump map is created from 4 directions and then melted into one map.
Oil and ore texture is made to look as farmlands.
Ruined and grass texture is from original game.
Cliff texture is easy to work with , you do not need to be an expert on mountains to get nice result when building hills or mountains.
Pavement and gravel is also original textures.
Agricultural texture is like the yellow original
Field texture is yellow, if you like to use Surface painter mod.
A huge thank you to Avanya that let me use her textures for cliff , ore and oil.
I have been recoloring the oil and ore textures to fit this theme like I want it.
