Description:
Compatible with Cities Skylines 1.17.0-f3 (Hotels & Retreats)

This mod helps with measurements.

NEW IN 1.9

– Recompiled for Cities Skylines 1.17.0-f3 (Hotels & Retreats).

NEW IN 1.8

– Recompiled for Cities Skylines 1.16.1-f2 (Hubs & Transport).

It shows similar information as Precision Engineering mod but also new information such as height above sea level (elevation), average incline (slope) between start and end point and cartographic orientation. It also calculates these information for curved and free-form networks and specific for these radius of curvature is also calculated and shown. Neither base game nor Precision Engineering does this. Different units can further be selected in Options.

It also includes a measure tool to measure between two points anywhere on the map.

Thank you to the amazing modding community and especially SamsamTS, TPB, boformer and BloodyPenguin for releasing the source code of their great mods so we can all be inspired.

Instructions

Subscribe to the mod and in Options you can change unit of measure for the info panel showing the different measures.

In-game hover mouse over label to get more details about the different measures shown in info panel.

Click "M"-button to activate measure tool and left-click to select measure points anywhere on the map. Right-click to remove last added point. Click "M"-button again or escape to exit measure tool.

Please notice that neither length, distance nor radius for curves and free-form are 100% exact due to the way the game creates the curves and free-form. For non-circular curves and free-form the radius is an approximation since radius does not really apply for these. They are still good guidelines though.

Compatibility

This mod does not use any detour, patching, replacing or decorating technique and it does not alter game save files in any way and can be disabled or unsubscribed safely at any time.

Known issues
  • Radius for large free-form seems to be way to small. I’m trying to find a solution.
