Toronto Style Elementary School 5
The fifth elementary school in my Toronto Schools collection.
The school this one is based off of has a history in 3 parts. The original section of the school (the front) was constructed back in the 1940’s. In 1953 the school was expanded with a new 2 floor classroom wing built in the rear. Finally in 1973 a Middle School was added onto the west side of the facility, although for a time the two schools operated as 2 distinct schools despite being physically connected to each other. Sometime in the 80’s or 90’s the two schools were officially merged into a single entity.
The facility itself is interesting due in part to it being 2 separate schools for a time meaning that there are some duplicated facilities in the school.
The Elementary wing includes 23 Classrooms, 2 Kindergarten rooms, Gymnasium, Multi-Purpose room (serves as both a Lunch Room and Assembly room), and a Library.
The Middle School wing includes 8 Standard Classrooms, 2 Science Labs, Double Gymnasium, Cafeteria with Kitchen, and a Library.
