The Hohenzollern Bridge (German: Hohenzollernbrücke) is a bridge crossing the river Rhine in the German city of Cologne (German: Köln). It crosses the Rhine at kilometre 688.5. Originally, the bridge was both a railway and road bridge. However, after its destruction in 1945 and its subsequent reconstruction, it was only accessible to rail and pedestrian traffic.
It is the most heavily used railway bridge in Germany with more than 1,200 trains daily, connecting the Köln Hauptbahnhof and Köln Messe/Deutz stations.
Contains basic ground track, elevated ‘small arch’ and bridge ‘large arch’ segments. It is ‘one’ network, thus it can be stacked side by side like in Cologne or used as single bridge.
This mini-project was a result of collaboration with VecchioChristo, who made an incredible job on meshes and texturing. I networked his work, optimized on certain places and tweaked textures.
- Start with drawing elevated segment: ideal lenght: 13-16units
- Switch to bridge tool and draw the bridge, ideal lenght: 16-30 units
- End with the elevated segment.
- Use ‘Align Height’ tool to align any tracks or pillars.
- Do the same for walkway on sides.
You can use both or either of the mods to use the bridge. With Railway catenary selection is global, whereas catenary style can be customized per segment with Network Skins 2.

- Mesh and textures are made by VecchioChristo
- Networking and Railway integration by REV0.
- Road Anarchy: You know what it does.
- Move It: In order to tweak or align the bridge properly.
