Description:

*** Part of a series I am creating that replaces the services -and other- buildings with more modern-looking and advanced versions of them. Why? Because I generally amass ~75K people on one city tile and I absolutely hate spamming service buildings that all look pretty much the same just to keep everybody happy. In a nutshell, I am creating new -lightweight- models with upgraded capacities and costs that are designed to function alot of people packed together. ***

Important stat changes, current vs. old:
Footprint: 7×5 — 4×4
Plop cost: 27500 — 10000
Maintenance: 640 — 160
Power: 120 — 30
Water: 30/30 — 15/15

School area: 1000 — 500
Student count: 750 — 300
*Tris: 612, LOD: 122

** DOUBLE RELEASE **

This school is part of my double release today including both an elementary school and a high school. They are designed to serve whatever educational needs you might encounter in a thriving city. Both are designed with the same (modern) architectural style as my other buildings. Also, these schools share the same colour patterns. Coincedence? I think not ^^ STAY IN SCHOOL!! And have fun with these new models 🙂

Advanced High School: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=444589267

Ever noticed this scenario;
You are happily placing around elementary schools for all toddlers and other uneducated folk, and then they want to attend high school? Fine. I’ll plop one. Or two. Or three. Or WHAT THE… In crowded cities like mine, I tend to have my education map be a perfect representation of the colour purple. Seriously. For one city tile of 75K people I need to plop down ridiculous amounts of schools. “Build the hadron collider” people say. Well, why not create some modern-looking model that represents realistic numbers, rather than taking the boring way out?

***Elementary School***

[*First day of school is fun again with these freshly designed schools!*]

Granted, 300 kids in an elementary school is a realistic number. On a 4×4 grid? Also realistic. So why make a new model? Well the thing is, I had my high school completed and figured, why not make a double release with an elementary school in the mix aye? So I went ahead and created an elementary school situation that you see A LOT in my country, couple of buildings together forming one “elementary community”. And of course, as with all of my models, nicely decorated. Feel free to use these as much as you like!
–> I added a complementary screenshot of the skyline of the city in which I tested these buildings, mostly because this is my most realistic city as of yet (good mix of lower buildings, highrises and skyscrapers, 130K inhabitants, 75% of which in downtown areas).

As with all my -future- buildings, I take the upgrading of a service building to the next level by not only upgrading the stats, but also implementing a detailed new, modern, high end looking model for everybody to enjoy. It fits anywhere 😀

[Update 1.1]
– Added LOD model – enjoy!

More coming in the future 🙂
