Taiwan 台灣
A Cities: Skylines map of Taiwan 台灣 that fits within 5×5 game tiles. The map is playable without mods out of the box.
The map contains both oil, minerals and trees; plane connections and boat connections.
The starting area is in Yunlin County (雲林縣).
Rivers on flat land drawn by hand using google maps as reference. Tried to draw main rivers as well as rivers that define borders between counties.
The highway traces National Freeway 1 (國道1號), and then becomes the Provincial Highway 1 (台1線) in Kaohsiung (高雄).
On the east the two-way freeway traces the Provincial Highway 9 (台9線).
The railway represents the High Speed Rail (台灣高鐵) in the west, and the circular railway on the east.
Both rail and highway connect out of the map and that doesn’t happen in real life 🙂
The tracing of the highway and rail is not perfect but I tried my best to recreate reality and adjust for gameplay purposes.
There are around 45 different water sources in the map, but all of them do not bring too much water. Water might be scarce if you are not careful!
The relative scale of the mountains is a bit exaggerated.
There are many mountains but that is part of the challenge 🙂
