Description:

A sunken metro station, styled after the far-flung suburban stations of the London Underground. Many creative liberties have been taken.

My whole intention with this was to make a sunken station that would work with the Sunset Harbor update to the vanilla game (it does, shockingly). I spent about three weeks trying to figure out how to a) actually use Blender well, b) learn the basics of how to use the asset editor and c) figure out if the concept even works. I had to do something with my quarantine time, right? Hopefully future assets don’t take that long to make.

Model specs/features:

3344 tris
2k textures
custom normal/illumination/spec/colour maps
16×8 lot size
tracks at -6m

Some disclaimers:

– Trains very slightly clip the station. It’s barely visible and I don’t really care to fix it.
– I haven’t tested this with Metro Overhaul mod or the new Metro Replacer mod, but it uses the vanilla ground level metro station as a template, which I assume (with my limited knowledge of how assets actually work) means it should work fine.
The London Underground roundel logo props are completely optional; the station will work without it, and the other props are all vanilla.

Thank you to all the modders who make it possible for people with no knowledge of code like myself to actually bring our ideas to life in this game. Also, a big thank you to Blender Guru on Youtube. Blender no longer makes me want to yell profanities at my computer. This is the first time I’ve actually uploaded something I modelled to the Steam workshop, so any constructive feedback would be more than welcome!
