Description:

Trapper’s Pass is a temperate map dominated by craggy snow-capped mountains. A chilly meltwater river runs through the flat central valley to the coast, where two islands offer additional build area just offshore.

Required assets are just NExt2 and a few low-tri trees (much better performance/frame rate than with vanilla ones).

I uninstalled all DLC while making the map, so you won’t need any.

TO GET THE SAME LOOK AS THE SCREENSHOTS:

  • Use Theme Mixer 2 (not technically ‘required’, but you’ll have very sandy mountains without it!)
  • Base theme is Laviante 2.0
  • For mountain snow, change Sand texture to Aiguille Verte
  • Optional: change Ruined texture to SCT-Homecoming
  • Optional: change Ore to Not So Rocky Hills (although SCT Homecoming ore is very similar and will do just fine)
  • LUT: Relight Film (I don’t use Relight itself)
  • Daylight Classic settings: Classic Sunlight Color ON, Classic Sunlight Intensity ON, Classic Fog Effect ON, everything else OFF

(I use various other graphics bits like Sharper Textures and Softer Shadows, but I’ve tried the map without them and it still looks nice.)

Connections:

  • Road – 4/4
  • Train – 2/4
  • Ship – 3/4
  • Plane – 3/4

Map uses c. 198k trees, so plenty of room to add more if you like.
As ever, I recommend 81 Tiles Mod or equivalent to reach all the fun areas, but you certainly don’t need it to play the map.

Enjoy!
