NISSAN FAIRLADY Z(Z33)
The FAIRLADY Z Z33 is a fastback sports car and open car manufactured by Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. from 2002 to 2008.
From its release to January 2004, it was produced at the Nissan Oppama plant in Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture, but since January 2004 it has been transferred to the Tochigi plant to improve production efficiency.
The platform, suspension, engine, etc. are shared with Skyline, making it possible to set a low price.
After a two-year gap, the Z33 Fairlady Z, the fifth generation of the Fairlady Z, was released in July 2002.
About a year later, in October 2003, the open model "Roadster" was added.
The 4-seater Japanese version, which had been prepared up to the previous Z32 type, was abolished. Export specifications for North America, etc. also include a simplified four-seat rear seats and a 4-seater specification.
At the time of its release, it boasts the top class aerodynamic performance, with a Cd value of 0.30, achieving front zero lift, and vehicles with front and rear spoilers with a Cd value of 0.29 achieving front and rear zero lift.
In 2003, one year after its release, he replaced Sylvia in the All Japan GT Championship GT300 class and won his first victory.
Next year, in 2004, in place of the Skyline GT-R, a vehicle equipped with a new V6 3L twin turbo VQ30DETT engine entered the GT500 class. I won the season again.
The name of the All Japan GT Championship has been changed to SUPER GT since 2005, and since 2007, it has participated with the V8 4.5L VK45DE type engine. In 2005 he won the team title.
Regarding the GT500 class, the GT-R has been participating since 2008, so the Z33 withdrew last in 2007.
In the GT300 class, participation in the Z33 was held until 2010, and in 2008 Mora achieved the double title of the drivers team title. Last year, Hasemi Motorsport also won both titles in 2010.
