Description:

The model announced on April 26, 2007 and released in October of the same year. Model name "CBA-CZ4A", commonly known as "Evo X".
The catch phrase is "The evolution of the next generation will be passed in an instant."
Prices range from 2,997,750 yen to 3,75,600 yen. It has been announced that it will sell 4,000 units in FY2007.

The Evo series has been in production for a limited period of time and a limited number of units, but this model became the first catalog model.

The pre-sales concept car "Concept-X" and "Concept-Sportsback" of Lancer (Galant Fortis), which is the base vehicle, was announced at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2005.

After that, at the Detroit Motor Show in March 2007, the Lancer (Galant Fortis) was announced and the concept car "Prototype-X" that was the prototype of the next Lancer Evolution X was exhibited.
Evo X is a commercial version of it.

The standard model of the 7th Lancer for Japan was released under the name "Galant Fortis", and in Japan, the Evo X is a Galant Fortis base.

However, since it is a single model that also exports, even outside Japan, the standard model is "Lancer" and the sports model is "Lancer Evolution".

Galant Fortis shares the body monocoque.
The suspension was different from the members, and the front wheels came out 15 mm in front.
A bumper cuts the front and rear overhangs to shorten the overall length by 75 mm.
The overall height has also been reduced by 10 mm due to the adoption of an aluminum roof and lowered roll center, the rear and front fenders have been enlarged, and the tread has been expanded to improve running stability.

Like Fortis, the body frame is made of high-strength steel with a maximum of 980 MPa.
In addition to the orthodox 5-speed MT, the transmission is equipped with a newly developed 6-speed Twin Clutch SST that does not use a torque converter, instead of the 6-speed MT used in the previous model.
In addition, Twin clutch SST (DCT) cars have automatic shift mode and there is no clutch pedal, so they are legally treated as AT cars and can be operated even with AT limited driving license.
Therefore, it can be said that it is the second AT car after the Evo VII GT-A as a run Evo sedan.

The engine is equipped with the all-aluminum block 4B11 type, which is a world engine, instead of the 4G63 type used so far. In addition to reducing the weight, it also contributes significantly to the reduction of the yaw moment.

Torque is 422 N-m (43.0 kg-m) when combined with MIVEC. Evo X remained at 206 kW (280 PS) "to avoid useless output competition" even after the horsepower regulation was released, but the engine output was 300 after the first minor change in October 2008. It was raised to PS.

The 4WD system is equipped with the newly developed vehicle motion integrated control system "S-AWC".

A distinctive feature is the "Jet Fighter Grill", which is a large open front grill designed with a jet fighter motif.

There are two models, GSR, which focuses on city riding, and RS, which is a competition base car.

GSR has TC-SST 6-speed AT and 5-speed MT, and RS has 5-speed MT only. The RS of the competition base car does not have the passenger airbag and the fully automatic air conditioner that are standard equipment on the GSR, and the headlight is an inexpensive halogen lamp compared to the discharge headlamp of the GSR. It keeps the price and weight down.

Also, even the rear wing that was previously equipped is now optional.

On April 10, 2015, Mitsubishi Motors announced that it will launch the Lancer Evolution X special edition "Lancer Evolution Final Edition" in August, and started accepting pre-orders.

This model is limited to 1,000 units, and reservations will end when the number of sold units is reached.
It was also announced that the production and sale of the "Lancer Evolution X" in Japan will be terminated with the release of the "Final Edition".

At the same time, this not only means that Lancer’s name disappears from the lineup of passenger cars and in-house manufactured vehicles in the Japanese market, but also that it will completely withdraw from the sedan market developed in-house in Japan.

This is the culmination of the Lancer Evolution series, as well as the Lancer Evolution series, as indicated by the catchphrase "Pride of living in the run."

Based on the "GSR" 5MT model, the exterior has changed the front grill molding to dark chrome plating, the bumper center and bonnet hood air outlet to gloss black painting, and the BBS 18-inch forged lightweight aluminum wheels to dark tone painting. In addition to setting the body color to five colors, the manufacturer also has a two-tone color with the roof part painted black.

The interior color is black, and the RECARO leather combination seat, steering wheel, shift knob, parking lever, and floor console lid are red stitched.

In addition to improving the maximum output by adding a sodium-filled exhaust valve to the engine, the base grade is equipped with a high performance package that is a manufacturer option setting as standard.

In addition, the rear trunk is equipped with the "Final Edition" emblem, the floor console is equipped with a serial number plate, and the "Final Edition" is displayed on the opening screen of the multi-information display.

Even after PWRC disappeared in 2012, it is still possible to race in WRC and WRC2, and many privateers are participating in spots.

However, since it does not compete with WR cars and group R5 at all, there is no one who will use it in full competition after 2016.

The Group N and the Group R4 Lancer, which has relaxed the modification range of the Group N, are still active as main vehicles in regional rallies such as APRC, ERC, and the All Japan Rally Championship.

In 2009, Nobushige Kukumabo of D1GP performed the first run of Run Evo X at the Tokyo Auto Salon and participated in the same car until 2010.
