Description:
This asset is RICO only!

Hello Folks,

today’s asset is a small pack of 11-floor buildings found in Leipzig-Grünau.
This asset is a direct derivative of my ABG WBS81-6 No.1, as they both use the same prefab standart.
Part of this pack is this dependency, which I’m probably gonna use for all my upcoming assets. I recently added a version with three bike racks to that asset, which has its debut here.

These blocks were originally planned and constructed in Leipzig. Like all WBS70, these blocks have entrances on both sides of the building.
Most of these blocks are now either demolished or renovated, which often gets rid of the mural on the side of the building, which I featured here as well.
One interesting part of these blocks are the smaller windows, which is owed to changed heat insulation regulations at the time. The bigger windows would emit too much heat to the outside, so they had to be narrowed down.

The 6 included buildings have been named by a system I hope is atleast somewhat understandable.
"LPZ" is just the abbreviation for Leipzig, the city in which most of these buildings were found.
"WBS81" stands for "Wohnungsbauserie" or "apartment building series", "81" indicating the year the blocks have been planned. I originally wanted to name them "WBS70-1981" but I had to shorten it.
Similar blocks were also created in 1976, so I wanted to differentiate between them.
"24m" specifies the normal length of one entrance part of the building.
"-11" just stands for the number of floors the building has. This pack solely consists of 11-floor blocks.
"2E" indicates the number of entrances per block.
"-GLL" and "-GLR" specify that the block has balconies either on the left (GLL) or right (GLR) gable.
The "No.1" stands for the red color variant with white tiles and a beige ground floor, the additional number for the yellow or blue tiles.
The "No.2" is a slightly different color variant without the beige ground floor, but the additional number still indicates the yellow or blue tiles.

The segments can be found under their names, starting with "LPZ WBS81" or alternatively by searching for "Plattenbau".
The tiled part of the balconies is color-mapped, close to original colors included.
Here’s all the HEX colors used:

  • red balcony tiles: 80414C
  • yellow balcony tiles: AD8245
  • green balcony tiles: 2D4C3D
  • white balcony tiles: FEFEFE

All blocks are flush with atleast one side of the plot grid, so placing them next to each other is rather simple.
All segments share the same main texture file. Using the Loading Screen Mod to tremendously cut down on file size is advised.
