UK Motorway Pack
This collection is based on the United Kingdom ‘Design Manual for Roads and Bridges’ (DMRB) standards for highway cross-sections for motorways and all-purpose trunk roads.
Unlike other Workshop assets, the 1:1 scale accurate dimensions of these left-hand traffic networks use the cross-sections for rural motorway mainlines, connector roads and interchange links.
Intersection Marking Tool edge of carriageway and centre lines meet the standards in the Traffic Signs Manual for Road Markings. These standards can be viewed here[assets.publishing.service.gov.uk] to allow you to make your IMT presets for junctions and fillers.
- DG1A – 12 metre wide motorway slip road with 1 lane and hard shoulder
- DG2A – 13.4 metre wide motorway slip road with 2 lanes and no hard shoulder
- DG2C – 15.7 metre wide motorway slip road with 2 lanes and hard shoulder
- DG3A – 17.1 metre motorway slip road with 3 lanes and no hard shoulder
- DG3C – 19.4 metre wide motorway slip road with 3 lanes and hard shoulder
- DM2 – 29.4 metre wide motorway mainline dual 2 lanes and hard shoulder
- DM3 – 36.8 metre wide motorway mainline dual 3 lanes and hard shoulder
- DM4 – 44.2 metre wide motorway mainline dual 4 lanes and hard shoulder
- Network mod and asset dependencies are within the linked UK Motorway collection
- These networks are designed for LHT.
- Traffic lights will automatically appear when connecting slip roads to the mainline. Toggle off the traffic lights using TMPE.
- Use Adaptive Networks to change the central reservation, decals and lighting.
- Verge barriers can be added using IMT.
- LSM will report missing outside connections. This is completely harmless provided you do not use the network to create an outside connection.
- The images shown have edited IMT functions, with added trees, added fillers and improved colouring based on personal preferences.
