PTV Volgren CR228L (SmartBus Livery)
The Volgren CR228L is probably the most common bus body seen throughout Melbourne and several other Australian cities. Produced between 2003 and 2013, the CR228L shares much of its appearance with its successor, the newer Volgren Optimus.
This version comes in the SmartBus/Kinetic livery, with the destination board displaying Route 906 (City – Lonsdale Street) if you’ve got the Additive Shader mod (optional). The SmartBus branding is slowly dying off these days, but this livery remains a fairly common sight, especially on non-SmartBus routes.
