Refined Large River Delta with Mountains
This Map was designed as I was not really happy with the topography of most maps.
Either the Maps seemed to flat or boring, or the mountain areas were so big and ruptured, so that it was difficult to build a larger city into them.
Therefore I wanted one Map which incorporates large alpine mountains in the backgroung, into which it is easy to build into, as well as a larger flat area with a river delta leading into a large lake or ocean.
So with this Map all transportation types can be used in your city.
The topography was modeled to include high mountains, smaller hills and flat areas to have a soft change between the regions. The mountains and hills were also modelled as if they were formed and eroded from large glaciers in the past.
What i particularily like about this map is a certain feeling of spaciousness. Even the Islands which seem quite small on the screenshot are actually quite vast if compared with the highway and railway connections. So you can start your city almost everywhere without being forced to squeeze anything on the topography.
Please consider using the "Unlimited Outside Connections Mod" as the Railway Outside connections exceed the number of four.
