Officially, the Osaki – Ikebukuro section is on the Yamanote Line, the Ikebukuro – Akabane section is on the Akabane Line, and the Akabane – Omiya section is on the Tohoku Main Line, and the line that operates directly between these sections is called the Saikyo Line.
