Description:

It was introduced in 1997 as a two-car version of the 3700 Series, which was an improved version of the 3500 Series. After this train, only stainless steel cars were used, so this was the last "red train" in the Meitetsu tradition. In 2019, the train will wear a new paint scheme to unify its livery when combined with the company’s 2200 Series.
