PH Ancestral House
Ancestral houses in the Philippines, popularly known in the Filipino language as "bahay na bato", are examples of colonial Spanish architecture; many of them were residences of prominent families, and often sited near the town center, or as the hacienda centerpiece of a Spanish land grant farm estate. Some of them also doubled in purpose as trading stores, offices, or warehouses, but for the most part many of these houses have played historical roles.
This collection of assets, created completely from scratch, was a result of both of a personal learning experience with Sketchup Pro and Blender, as well as fulfilling out a severe need for more familiar architecture in a map I’m working on.
These assets have been optimized for use with Loading Screen Mod, to better able to share common textures. Furthermore, the assets are in modular form so as to be able to freely create different housing configurations. Care has been taken by further optimizing the assets with fewer tris possible (Mesh Info screenshot is presented for convenience).
Main – 2 x 4
Mid – 1 x 4
Corners – 4 x 4
T-Junction – 4 x 4
Ends – 2 x 4
Although they are growable (and thus can be included in a custom theme), the assets are not decorated so as to allow more personalized detailing such as adding props, lights, and foliage. It’s also recommended to use Ploppable Growables, Move It! and Fine Road Anarchy 2 for more precise placement of the structures.
TIP: As suggested by the screenshots, you can plop in commercial growables by sliding them into the houses’ ground floor, so effectively doubling their purpose.
