Plattenbau PH-16 No. 2
As a follow up to my previous asset PH-16 No. 1, I present to you the No. 2 Version of this beloved residential tower block. It comes with a different colour scheme, slightly different (larger) windows as well as coloured decor tiles, front doors, staircase windows and balconies.
This variation of the PH 16 appeared all over Leipzig in the early to mid 70’s in neighbourhoods like Mockau, Schönefeld, and the nicest one them: the area around Straße des 18. Oktober, which is the only district where none of these buildings were torn down, due to its central location and importance as a model exemplar for the GDR’s urban (re-)development and beautification efforts, as this boulevard like street runs straight from Leipzigs historical city centre to the grounds of the former technical fair. As of today, all remaining PH-16 in Leipzig of this type have been renovated. So I really hope I got the colours right.
Just like the previous version, this asset is a RICO-enabled high density residential, offering 132 residences. So make sure you have Rico Revisited installed.
Also you can use Repaint to re-colour the decorative elements to your liking! Included colours are red, orange-yellow, dark green, and blue. One of which is randomly chosen when placing down a building.
Again I used the 2m concrete tiles of Concrete Pedestrian Path Set as well as MeisterMonis’ DDR bike racks for decorating the entrance area, so subscribing to these is not mandatory.
Texture size is 1024 × 1024. Using textures kindly provided by MeisterMonis as a starting point to make mine ensures conformity with all of his already well established sets of Plattenbau-Assets. This will stay that way for the foreseeable future.
