CTA3200 Prop Pack
Hello folks!
Finally, after years of absence I’m (kinda) back with something new. I proudly present a prop pack to go with your MOM 9.0 installation – a prop pack!
What? Wait? Just props?
Yes! – for now.
I also got a vehicle version ready to be released soon too – but first I have to do one more magic trick on that asset(s).
Stay tuned!
This set was build out of some free source I found two years ago which had 20k+ tris and some 4k textures. I think the model was meant to resemble some CTA 2600 train but it had a driver cab on both ends which was simply off.
So I rebuild most parts of that mesh, scaled the textures down and got rid of many tris. On top I decided to create a modernized version of the CTA 3200 out of it. (You could also use it as a 5000 series train if you want to – there are not many differences visually)
Out of this progress two props popped out:
The one named "CTA3200 A" is a complete car featuring 3 illuminated destination signs which show the text "Not in service" plus an amber LED number plate. On top this one has chains hanging in front of the front door.
The one named "CTA3200 B" is a car meant to be coupled to each other – instead of 3 illuminated destination signs only the ones on each side of the train show the "Not in service" text. The number plate is also switched off and the chains are "missing" (irl they would be connected to the next train).
If you wanna place those props I suggest you to use the mods "Find it!", "Move it!" and "Prop & Tree Anarchy". Simply search for "CTA3200" and there you go!
After plopping the props down on some tracks klick one using "Move it" and hit "page up" on your keyboard three times – this will lift those props perfectly onto the tracks 🙂
If you don’t have any idea on how to combine those props to create a realistic consist, here are some suggestions:
Set of three pairs:
[A + B*] + +
Set of four pairs:
[A + B*] + + + [/code]
Have some fun!
