Train: DB ET 420 1980’s
When mass mobilization really took off in the 1960’s it became very clear that, besides Berlin and Hamburg who already had one, other cities in Germany needed an S-Bahn system as well. Then it was decided that Munich would host the 1972 Olympics and with that came the funds to design a vehicle that would easily pass the test of time and has long gained a legendary status – the ET 420. Each 420 unit consists of three cars, all of which are powered on all axles. Both end cars feature a driver’s cab, while the middle section harbours most technical components.
This mod includes the ET 420 as a single trainset in the orange two-tone llivery introduced in the 1980’s.
