Canadian Tire Retail Store (RICO)
Canadian Tire Corporation Limited is a Canadian retail company which operates in the automotive, hardware, sports, leisure and housewares sectors. Its Canadian operations include: Canadian Tire (including Canadian Tire Petroleum gas stations and financial services subsidiary Canadian Tire Bank), Mark’s, FGL Sports (including Sport Chek and Sports Experts), PartSource, and the Canadian operations of Party City. Canadian Tire acquired the Norwegian clothing and textile company Helly Hansen from the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan in 2015.
Canadian Tire is known for its Canadian Tire money, a loyalty program first introduced in 1958 using paper coupons that resemble banknotes. The company’s head office is in Toronto, Ontario and it is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
This is my first asset where I have built it completely from the ground up, including using real-world textures. Feedback is welcome. Don’t forget to like or favourite this asset if you like it! The file size may seem large, but it contains the store asset and two props. I’ve used high quality textures 2048×2048. Again, this is my first asset, so if it’s too big, I can scale it back.
If you don’t have the RICO mod, the building functions as a Unique Building.
If you do have RICO, the building is a high commercial level 3 building with 150 workplaces.
The Canadian Tire stores have undergone many renovations over the years. This asset represents a store built or renovated in the late 90’s early 00’s. These types of stores are more common than the newer ones.
The asset contains the following:
1 x Canadian Tire retail store – I have placed entry markers, one light, a bench, and hot-dog stand in the asset itself. Everything else is up to you to decorate. There is also a small hang-around marker by the hot-dog stand to simulate the usual line-ups you can find there. All the props I added are vanilla. The building has a custom LOD.
1 x Road Sign – this prop is animated for those using PO who want to add their own text to the sign. See the image above on where to add your text. If you don’t have PO, you won’t notice anything, it’ll just be a regular sign for the store.
1 x Pillar Sign – this prop can be used in case you want to have the Canadian Tire logo and name appear on the back of your store. Some stores have these as additional signage where the rear of the store faces a major road or highway.
