1920’s Stockholm Tram

Notice: In-game, the tram is named A1 + B19.
Model of what was perhaps Stockholm’s most common tram historically: the A1, here paired with the B19 tram trailer. The A1 was built to look as I’ve modeled it in 1926-1928, and many of them were still running in the 1960’s. Information about the model is somewhat sparse, but it seems the A1 was created by reworking older trams.
120 units were built, three of which are today preserved (wagons number 76, 92 and 102). Wagon number 76 was taken out of service in 1959 and rebuilt into a snow blowing vehicle for the Stockholm metro. In 1965 it was sold to do the same in the Oslo metro for a few years. It was rescued by Svenska Spårvägssällskapet and restored to its 1926 look in 1996-2001. Today, it is once again running on the streets of Stockholm as part of the heritage tramway Djurgårdslinjen!
