Description:
Vehicle information

This is an older model, it is what it is.

The Lark, offered from 1959 till Studebakers demise in 1966 was largely the main model produced by Studebaker after 1958. Albeit under different names after 1962. At the time of its development Studebaker all but abandoned the full sized car market and began to focus on the compact market. The body comprised of the full sized shells of the 53-58 models with the front and rear over hangs massively reduced and reworked. There were two designations of trim levels; the Lark VI and the Lark VIII both designated which type of engine was in the car, 6 cylinders or 8 cylinders. Studebaker did very well at first with its only competitor at the time being AMC’s Rambler lineup of cars. But soon The big three would introduce their own line up of cars and close out the competition and eventually lead to Studebakers end in 1966.
