Wooden Variant

Railway 2 is a network package which is packed with numerous new features, while maintaining the existing features of original Railway 1 project. It also brings new types of networks such as quads and mainlines. Check Railway 2 Guide in the collection, linked above.

Track Embankment
Depending on the situation, track embankments are reinforced with various elements. In Switzerland, there are 3 common types that can be seen; rocks secured with metal caging, concrete and wooden supports with recycled rails. The latter can be still seen in Gotthard Ramp and central Switzerland, which also is referenced in this asset.

The network comes with 3 elevations including the wooden embankment.

Ground variant is the shortest variant with wooden embankment is barely visible, elevated variant includes the full wooden embaknment panelling with rail supports. Bridge variant features large earth embankment with wooden support barely holding itself together closer to the tracks.

– You can manually switch between elevations by using Network Anarchy.

Sleeper and Wire Types
Adaptive Networks allows you to customize the sleeper and wire standard. Network includes 3 sleeper types:
– Euro Wooden
– B91 Concrete sleeper
– B91 Concrete sleeper, dirty/old variant

– You can use R2 Euro wire standard, or switch to NA standard for American tracks. You can also disable wires altogether.

– Aside wooden supports, the rest of the network recycles same textures from R2 Euro package, costing you nothing if you have the original German or Swiss network pack subscribed.
