Silesian Familok – Polish Workers’ Housing Corner
A classic brick familok inspired by traditional workers’ housing from Upper Silesia.
Familoki were built near mines, steelworks and factories, mainly in the late 19th and early 20th century. Their red brick walls, simple layout and practical form became one of the most recognizable elements of the industrial landscape in Silesia. Many of these buildings were part of larger workers’ colonies, created for mining and industrial families.
This asset is based on that old working-class architecture and is meant to fit historic industrial districts, mining areas, railway surroundings and older residential neighborhoods.
Best used for:
old industrial areas
workers’ housing districts
railway and warehouse surroundings
historic or post-industrial city builds
If you want to recreate the atmosphere of classic Silesian neighborhoods, this asset should fit right in.
