Transfer Manager Extended v0.6.8
New version of Transfer Manager CE that expands the vanilla games transfer reason count from 128 reasons, which are virtually all used by base game mechanics, to the maximum 256 reasons the games current storage structure would allow.
This will hopefully allow the modding community to add new exciting features to Cities Skylines that would previously have been difficult / impossible to achieve.
Transfer reasons are the underlying mechanic for how a Cities Skylines city functions. If for example a building has a sick person in it, that building will place a "TransferReason.Sick" request out to the transfer manager to ask for an ambulance to come and collect the sick person. If a bakery needs some flour to make bread it will place a "TransferReason.Flour" request to the transfer manager. When it finishes making the bread it will add a "TransferReason.Goods" offer to the transfer manager so the bread can be transported to a shop etc….
The transfer manager is the system in Cities Skylines that collects all these transfer reason "requests / offers" from all the buildings and matches them together so that each buildings needs can be satisfied. For example a sick request is matched with an ambulance offer etc…
The vanilla Transfer Manager is not very good at matching these transfer reasons together, which can result in some unexpected or annoying behavior within your city. This transfer manager is intended to improve these matches to make your city feel more natural and realistic.
You can see each buildings transfer needs in the "Offers" section of the "Transfers" tab of the building panel and any matches made by the transfer manager are listed in the "Matches" section.
This mod is essentially a merger of our Transfer Manager CE mod and the More Transfer Reasons mod by t1a2l.
This mod expands base game structures in a similar way to other "More…" mods available on the workshop, so will cause issues if you subscribe to this mod, run the simulation, then unsubscribe from this mod.
To make a save game usable without this mod: (after running the simulation with this mod)
- Load desired save game
- Pause simulation
- Press the "Clear Extended Reasons" button in Global Settings > Maintenance tab.
- Save game
*Do not run the simulation after pressing "Clear Extended Reasons" before saving the game or more extended transfer reasons may appear around your city.
While every care has been taken to ensure this will work correctly, please save your games to a new filename and maybe even add (TME) to the title or something like that so you know it is using the extended transfer reason version.
- More Effective Transfer Manager
- Transfer Controller
- Transfer Manager CE
- Transfer Manager CE [TEST]
- More Transfer Reasons
- Configure Outside Connections’ Limits – This mod now allows changing outside connection capacity limits so both mods will be trying to change the same values
- Call Again – Transfer Manager CE does all that Call Again does and lots more and they will just get in each others way.
- District Dispatch – Warning: This mod works by forcing the vehicle to ignore the transfer managers requests when not within the appropriate district. This can easily lead to a continuous request / ignore loop that results in a city issue never being responded to as the transfer manager gets no feedback that the path is invalid.
- Taxi Stand Fix – This mod has basically extracted TME code out as a separate mod. It will break Transfer Manager Extended as it is doing almost exactly the same thing with the same code except worse as it cant control the Transfer Manager instructions properly.
