Konserthuset
Unique building: Konserthuset
Stockholm Concert Hall (Konserthuset) was inaugurated in 1926. Located beside the market square Hötorget, the blue building is a prominent cultural landmark. Its clean classical form, tall columns, and elevated position overlooking the square give it a monumental yet elegant presence.
Over the decades, the hall has hosted many internationally renowned performers, including artists such as Ella Fitzgerald and Duke Ellington. It is also internationally associated with the annual Nobel Prize ceremony, held there since 1926. In addition to classical concerts, Konserthuset has long served — and continues to serve today — as an important venue for public events and cultural life.
