The model is based on the new Russian compact crossover Lada Azimut by AvtoVAZ. The project was first officially presented in the summer of 2025 at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) and attracted significant public attention, as it is the brand’s second new crossover in almost three decades.
The vehicle was developed entirely by Russian specialists based on the Lada Vesta platform. It features aggressive modern body lines, an extended wheelbase (2675 mm), and an impressive ground clearance of 208 mm. The Azimut is positioned as the successor to the Lada Xray in the affordable family car segment. Mass production of the crossover is scheduled for the first half of 2026.
