Het Hansgat
Hello everyone, and welcome to my first map on the workshop, het Hansgat.
First, a warning: because the buildable area on this map is very limited, I highly recommend using a 81 tiles mod. Using the unlock all mod might also be a good idea, because the starting area is quite small.
Now, about the map itself: the starting area is in the right corner, and has a dead end highway and railway. In the opposite corner is also a dead end highway and railway. Between these corners is mostly sea, and a few islands. It might be a nice goal to connect the highways and raiways, for instance with a ferry line. There are 2 highways and 2 railways, and 4 shipping connections and 4 plane connections. In the corners of the map is quite a bit of farmland, sometimes mixed with oil and ore, for aesthetic reasons.
About the name: ‘zeegat’ is an oldfashioned dutch word that can be translated to ‘sea passage’, although I don’t think it’s used much nowadays.
