Scarborough Civic Centre
The Scarborough Civic Centre was the former City Hall for the City of Scarborough. The facility was designed by "Raymond Moriyama" and was constructed in 1973. The facility served as city hall until 1998 when Scarborough was merged into Toronto. The building is composed of 2 buildings connected by a central atrium. The 4 floor half was the former home of the "Scarborough Board of Education" and today houses office for the "Toronto District School Board". The 5 floor section housed the offices for the City of Scarborough, however today now house various City of Toronto offices. The facility was opened by the Mayor and Queen Elizabeth II.
