Miljonprogrammet – Korstavägen 4F (Ploppable RICO)
During the 1960-70s the Swedish goverment decided to construct 1 million new homes. These were to be affordable and modern homes. A realization of the utopic dream society from the 1930s.
This particular building is from a neighborhood in Sundsvall named Korsta. It’s located next to a large papermill and provides housing for mill-workers and lower middleclass from around the city. Today the dream has faded away, but the appartments live a new life as renovated and reconstituted condominiums.
