Description:

A deep valley cuts through the mountains, revealing a boreal forest flanked by towering cliffs. This map is based on the terrain of Yosemite Valley in California, which was central to the development of the national park idea in the United States.

Now with more water!

As with many maps based on real mountainous terrain, you will be challenged more than usual to develop a thriving city here, but that can be part of the fun. There are spaces of relatively flat ground on the valley floor, however, so your Cims aren’t forced to live like mountain goats. The small river that runs through the valley is fed by several streams, but generally does not have sufficient volume to support a water pump. The valley itself is heavily wooded, making it ideal for use by the forestry industry. Expanding into the highland terrain around the valley will help resolve your water supply woes as well as give you access to a large ore field for more diverse industrial zoning.
