Rome, Italy – Via del Mare (SP8 – A90/E80) Ribbon Interchange
In my preparations for a trip to Europe, during which Rome will be a stop, I perused the city on Google Maps… and man oh man do they have some *interesting* interchanges and highway setups!
This is the first of perhaps a handful of Italian (in particular Roman) intersections and interchanges I’ll be uploading. It’s in the Southwest part of the city, not quite halfway between Rome’s city center and the airport to the West. It connects SP8 and A90/E80.
If anyone knows if this interchange has a title or local name, please let me know!
Notes
1. In the screenshots of my city you may notice I moved the train tunnel to the inside of a ramp instead of outside (as it is in real life) because I thought it looked cooler this way. I also added a quay.
2. Wherever possible, I also changed the 1-lane elevated highway ramps to SimoG’s awesome ramps with concrete walls, check ’em out and give him a thumbs up!: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1329440631
3. If you don’t have Move It, you don’t know what you’re missing. Even with pre-made intersections, it comes in handy to fix minor glitches and customize things to your liking.
4. As with virtually any other interchange in the workshop, try to place this on flat ground. I decided to have mine abut and at one point cross the river, so I had to use Move It to fix the uneven parts.
Updates
1. Changed the name according to dangagi4droid’s info:"..the intersections generally bring the name of the street in which they enter, so,we simply call this intersection "via del mare".
Hope you enjoy, please give it a thumbs up if you do!
