Description:

An alternative to the vanilla police station.

Asset Stats
Main Model: 2116 tris
LoD: 66 tris

Textures: 2048×1024 and 128×128

Props and Decoration
Lights and an entry point. Everything else is part of the model. No DLCs, mods, asset dependencies. This is a straight up replacement for the starting vanilla police station. Stats and cost are exactly the same.

Footprint is 6×4. The building would have sat on a 4×4 footprint – but the cars spawn from the origin point of the model (roadside, in line with the origin technically), so I had to move it a bit to the side so they spawn in front of the garage.

About
I swear I wasn’t looking to do another Atlantic Canadian asset. I knew I wanted a police station – so I got on Google and started looking for one. Turns out the one that caught my eye is from Amherst, Nova Scotia[www.google.ca], which isn’t too far from me, so it’s based on that one. I’ve been to the town a bunch of times. It’s a relatively modern, newish looking station. If memory serves, there was a fire in downtown Amherst a number of years back and they had to build a new one. Lost a Dooly’s in the fire too, which is a shame.

I recently unsubbed to everything and began to play the game again, you know, just the basics (still using 65 mods, but the asset count is down by several thousand). I found that the assets I really wanted were service buildings. That’s where this came from. I’ll get back to the houses and such eventually – but I’ll probably throw in a few more service buildings as I go along. I’d like to do a hospital and a high school at some point.

I guess, the cautions about tri counts and texture sizes go out here. This is above average for an asset, but nowhere near the upper limit of what CO has already put in the game. It’s something I kinda wanted and it will not cause you grief. I also didn’t really go ham on the screenshots this time with the AO and depth of field stuff. Sorry for that.

Source files are here[drive.google.com].

If this police station is not doing its thing, please let me know and I’ll fix it as soon as I’m able.

Enjoy!
