Chevrolet C1500 (1996)
The C/K was Chevrolet and GMC’s full-size pickup truck line from 1960 until 2000 in the United States and Canada, from 1964 to 2001 in Brazil, and from 1975 to 1982 in Chile. The C/K designation was first used for identifying the trucks of Chevrolet in 1960. Referring to the light-duty full-sized line of pickup trucks, the “C” designation was assigned to rear-wheel drive models while the “K” would be attached to four-wheel drive Chevrolet trucks. The C/K line received a fourth-generation redesign for 1987 that greatly redefined Chevrolet’s important and dependable full-sized pickup truck line-up. As the half-ton model, the 1500 version was the most popular of the Chevrolet C/K line. A half-ton truck is the truck that you might consider using on a daily basis with minimal hauling needs, great for general utility needs. These trucks are built for lighter work but are designed more for the convenience of having a vehicle that can easily get around with more fuel economy.
