Such booths in the USSR were spread everywhere, from the capital to the regional towns. In them it was always possible to clean shoes inexpensively, buy insoles, shoelaces, shoe (shoe polish) for shoes, do both small repairs and more thorough, leaving shoes to the shoemaker.
