30 Hudson Yards (also the North Tower) is a super-tall mixed use building under construction in the West Side area of Manhattan. Located near Hell’s Kitchen, Chelsea, and the Penn Station area, the building is part of the Hudson Yards Redevelopment Project, a plan to redevelop the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s West Side Yard.
Since July 2018, it has been the third-tallest building in New York City.
The building has been affectionately nicknamed "Big Bird" by locals due to the triangular observation deck on the 101st floor, which resembles a beak sticking out from the top of the tower.
The observation deck will be the highest in the Western Hemisphere, offering all new skyline views to the south and east of Manhattan, the surrounding boroughs and New Jersey. (wikipedia.org)
