Description:

Japanese shinkansen railway station inspired by these:

The lot of the surrounding area is empty so use the real life references to create your own build, these stations usually have a taxi, bus, plaza, or parking area in front of them.

Includes two separate buildings – one is the main building with everything except the wires, and the other is a building with only the wires. This is done because if they were combined, the game automatically snapped and created intersections between the tracks and the wires completely breaking it, this is why you need to place them separately, and then move the wires on top of the station. The station uses wireless tracks, and the wires are placed manually using the wire decoration networks, this is done to have full control over the placement of the wires. The catenaries are custom and a part of the building.

The platform is around 430 meters and the building itself is almost a kilometer long.

Main (many sub-buildings and sub-meshes):
~60k tris
2048×2048 + 256×512 + 256×256 + 256×128 + 256×512

LOD:
~2k tris
512×512 + 64×128 + 64×64

I don’t understand why the asset is around 35 MB, it should be around 21 MB but the game kept breaking everything if I tried to save it multiple times, or load it multiple times. This many sub-buildings/sub-meshes is not stable in the asset editor I guess.

Placement:
Place the station using anarchy on a completely flat and empty area, by a long and completely straight road.
Connect a straight piece of shinkansen elevated tracks on each end.
Place the wires building parallel to (but not on top of) the station. Move the wires with snapping enabled, the wires building should snap perfectly in place on top of the station, make sure there are some parallel roads around so there is a grid to snap to.
Don’t start a line on this station, start it somewhere else and use turnaround loops. See the guide by REV0 on using long passenger trains: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1464223091
Place stops using advanced stop selection at the far ends of the station depending on the line direction, the trains stop with the nose at the stop you place.

This (with the shinkansen tracks) was probably one of my biggest projects ever, started around half a year ago, and ended with a 17 H stream to properly import it, assemble it together, and publish it.
