Info about the real-life city and the map:
Valladolid is the de-facto capital of the autonomous community of Castilia y León, in Central-North-Eastern Spain. The city has a population of approximately 300,000 people, although this can rise to 400,000 if the surrounding province is counted.
While the population is high, the city is relatively small in size but dense with urbanization, with tall buildings and few ‘chalet’ (individual/semi-detached houses) estates/urbanizations. The area surrounding the city is vast open countryside, saturated with farms and dotted with mainly small villages.
I have designed the map with real-life accuracy in mind, and the terrain, highways and rail network is as reflective of the real-life situation as possible. However, feel free to build whatever you wish on this largely flat and organically flowing map!
Properties:
– An abundance of fertile land outside the main real-life urban area.
– A small-medium sized pine forest, the most common tree in the area, in the South of the map.
– Two beaches, one natural mini beach opposite the area of the town of Simancas, and one larger artificial beach in the centre of town
-Two rivers – The Pisuerga and the Esgueva (which was diverged into a modern day canal)

There are no oil or ore areas on the map
