Scania L113CRL – Ansair Orana – PTV Melbourne
Requested repaint by u/Trancescender in Victorian PTV livery.
The Scania L113CRL uses a 234 bhp Scania Euro 1 engine, on a Scania 3-series chassis. The body is built by Ansair.
This bus is renown to have issues when temperatures exceed 30 degrees celcius. The high air conditioning setting required on these days often causes the engine to overheat, due to a design issue with the engine. As a result, on hot days, the air conditioning has to be turned off, leading to an uncomfortable ride for passengers. In most cases, the engine will still overheat with the AC turned off.
Fun fact: On 15 September 2016, Bus 3726 caught fire and burnt on the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
