The map before you has taken a decent amount of time to bring to fruition (not much else to do whilst in Covid-19 lockdown), and is based off Maria Island (pronounced as ‘Mariah Island’), located in Tasmania, Australia.

A little bit of history:
———————————————————————————————————————–
From 1642 until 1856, the island state of Tasmania in Australia, was previously known by it’s Dutch name; Van Diemen’s Land. Named by Dutch Explorer Abel Tasman, after the Governor-General of the East Indies (Indonesia), Anthony van Diemen. Maria Island was named after Maria van Diemen, the wife of Anthony van Diemen.

Specifications:
———————————————————————————————————————–
* 3 rail connections, 3 sea connections, 3 road connections, 4 air connections.
* Designed with the Temperate theme and the Cleyra map theme – Though feel free to change it up!
* Relatively flat terrain, with hill gradients smoothed to allow ease of construction and city planning.
* Bountiful resources for all you industry tycoons!
* Bridge not included – This is just an example of how you may cross the bay, though ferries work great too! If you’d like to have that amazing bridge in your city click here.

Asset requirements:
———————————————————————————————————————–
The map can be played perfectly fine with vanilla assets, though you may notice an absence of trees
and therefore to play the map as it was designed, the below would need to be subscribed:
